When are we giving the youth opportunity to take over? - Educationist

Kumasi-based educationist has quizzed local authorities, and institutions when they would give youth opportunities to take over pivotal roles in societies.

Mr. Bashiru Shehu believes young people have the potential to turn the fortunes of the country around.

Mr. Shehu was speaking at "Ignite 3.0" event organised by No Business As Usual Hub in Kumasi.

The Event aimed at influencing young people to positively contribute towards nation building through the art of story-telling.

“You have to do a SWOT analysis of yourself, know your strengths and weaknesses, and take advantage of opportunities” he told a crowd of youth.

“We are all unique talents, so never compromised and negotiate with your bond” he added

The programme Manager for NBU Project, Mr. Daniel Okity-Boamah, disclosed the commitment of the European Union-sponsored hub to change the narratives of Youth in the the Asokore Mampong municipality in the Ashanti region through constant mentorship, storytelling and career guidance.

Vice President for Ghana Youth Climate Coalition, Mr. Hakeem Haruna, echoes the need to empower the youth and make a change even in the midst of circumstances.

Ignite 3.0 session acquaints youth to realities of life, especially making a tough decision, setting daring life goals and taking risks through a systemized storytelling session by bringing successful people to share their stories.
