Kumawood actor Clement Bonney, popularly known as Mr. Beautiful, has launched a fierce attack on his colleague Agya Koo for spreading false claims about President-elect John Dramani Mahama during the 2024 election campaign period.
According to Mr. Beautiful, Agya Koo's accusation that Mahama sold the Tema Harbour was nothing but a deliberate lie aimed at tarnishing the former president's image ahead of the elections.
Mr. Beautiful also criticised Agya Koo for being ungrateful to Mahama, who had supported him before the actor aligned himself with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an interview with Radio XYZ, Mr. Beautiful expressed frustration, stating that his relationship with Agya Koo had soured beyond repair and that he would never engage with him again.
“I will never meet Agya Koo or greet him, let alone shake his hand. I will not do that foolish thing because he lied about John Mahama. He said the high cost of duty was due to Mahama selling Tema Harbor. A villager like you, how could you say such a thing about President Mahama?" Mr. Beautiful fumed.
“He is one of the most ungrateful people I’ve ever encountered. Mahama was giving him money and buying him plane tickets, but after aligning with the NPP, he wanted to discredit the man. I’ll come after you; you’re now my enemy,” he added.
Mr. Beautiful's outburst is in response to John Mahama’s decisive victory in the 2024 general elections, which, according to the actor, has left his detractors feeling ashamed and exposed.
