Joachim Low won the 2014 World Cup with Germany
2014 World Cup-winning coach Joachim has been in the news on social media in Ghana after reported claims emerged that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in talks with him to take over the vacant Black Stars coaching role.
Several media reports indicated that the former Germany coach is open to leading the Black Stars to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be hosted in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The reports added that negotiations are ongoing between the two parties, but the salary demands are the main challenge so far, as he is expected to earn around €150,000 per month for a short stint.
GFA sacks Otto Addo
This news has got many social media users in awe as they believe Low will be a huge boost for the team if the GFA manages to secure his services.
Some have asserted that his leadership and track record as a World Cup winner would help instill discipline in the squad and achieve the expected impact, while others doubted the reports.
Others said that he will be able to give the team an identity in terms of football tactics and style of play, as the team has lacked that for years, contributing to their woes and failures in recent times, which has saddened Ghanaians.
Despite the celebrations on social media, neither the GFA nor Joachim Low’s camp has confirmed reports of ongoing talks, as Ghanaian fans await the next Black Stars coach to be named.

Initially, I thought Ghana was drunk when they relieved their former coach of his duties, but now it's evident they are on top of the situation.
