The Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs says it is confident that the Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will make a significant difference as President of Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia, who won a tight contest last year to lead the NPP in this year's presidential elections, is embarking on a nationwide tour to spread his vision and policies to Ghanaians and key groups, including traditional rulers.
At a meeting with the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs in Dodowa on Tuesday, the House of Chiefs had kind words for Dr. Bawumia, praising his selflessness and vision for the country.
"Having observed you from afar, we believe you have a lot of potential to offer this country," said Obiade Tse Nii Odaifio III, who is also the Paramount Chief of the Nungua Traditional Area.
"On selfless leadership, we have little to say about you. Your Excellency, you are an accomplished man. You're a successful man. Therefore, we are convinced you will not fail the test when it comes to selfless leadership," they stated.
"With your unique abilities and vision, coupled with the rich experience you've had in governance so far, you can make a huge, positive difference in our political leadership. It is possible!" they concluded.
