Residents of the Adenta SSNIT Flats in Accra have apprehended a young woman found in possession of multiple master keys and strongly suspect her of a series of apartment break-ins reported within the community.

According to a report by myjoyonline.com, on July 2, 2025, the woman was confronted by vigilant tenants after her suspicious movements in the area raised alarm.

A subsequent search of her bag revealed a collection of master keys, leading residents to believe she was responsible for recent burglaries in the locality.

Before this arrest, residents had been complaining of missing items and signs of forced entry into their homes, but the culprit had escaped without a trace.

The suspect is alleged to have waited until residents left for work, then quietly unlocked doors, stole valuables, and departed unnoticed.

Her luck, however, ran out on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, when a watchful neighbour spotted her attempting to unlock another apartment door and immediately raised the alarm, leading to her apprehension by other residents.

The woman is currently in police custody at the Adenta District Command and is assisting with ongoing investigations.

Residents in the area fear she may be part of a larger syndicate involved in a series of break-ins across the community, highlighting the ongoing challenge of residential security in urban areas.

The Ghana Police Service encourages residents to report any suspicious activities and enhance their home security measures.
