Accra, March 27, GNA- Mrs Mary Nana Tagoe, Leader of the Area 'B' Women's movement of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, has called on women especially Christians to co-operate with the government of the day by paying their taxes.

She said fulfilling civic obligations was one of the major roles they have to play to enable the government to have adequate funds to provide health and education facilities.

Mrs Tagoe who was speaking on "Prosperity and Your Health" at a Retreat organised by the Movement, urged them to register massively in the on-going nation-wide registration of voters exercise.

The main theme of the Retreat, which drew more than 2,000 members, is "Building a Healthy Christian Life".

She said they should avoid double registration and never allow themselves to be influenced by anybody to do so, adding, "As Christians, if we follow Christian principles, we shall never fall into trouble".

Mrs Togoe said the human body was designed with immune systems, which fights diseases and God has equipped "us with a conscience or inner voice, which could help us make the right decisions at the right time ".

She said they should allow that gift to guide them in refraining from acts that would destroy the immune system.

Mrs Tagoe further urged them to work hard and undertake small-scale ventures, which would help them to improve their living conditions.
