The Women Network of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa is recommending capacity building for women in the maritime industry.
The President of the Women Network of PMAWCA, Florentine Guihard-Koidio said women in the maritime industry need to be given the necessary support in order for them to grow in their organisations.
Esther Gyebi-Donkor, General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Affairs of GPHA who is the immediate President of the Women network of PMAWCA said a lot of training is being organised to improve the capacity of women in order for them to contribute their quota to the development of the maritime industry.
"We have also encouraged the senior members of the network to mentor the young ones. To be competitive and up to the task for the industry, so that when there is a vacancy, no one would deny you," she advised.
