The Women's Ministry of the Dansoman Area of the Church of Pentecost and the Area Home and Urban Mission (HUM) have donated foodstuffs worth over ₵20,000.00 to the Christian Rehabilitation Centre at Bortianor in Accra.
The items, which were donated on 7th August 2024, included bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, bags of corn dough, bottled water, tubers of yam, gari, sugar, okro, tins of tomato, pepper, and salt.
The foodstuffs are to make the stay of the inmates refreshing as they receive both physical and spiritual nourishment.
Leading the delegation was the Area Head and his wife, Apostle Daniel Kodjoe & Mrs. Rebecca Sey, the Area Women’s Ministry Leader, Deaconess Priscilla Mawuli Awo Ekpale, and the Area Women’s Ministry executive committee members. The Area Home and Urban Mission (HUM) leader, Ps Paul Kojo Mahama, and the Area HUM executive committee members, the Area Secretary Ps Dr. Perez Sepenu, and over 60 women were part of the delegation.
The Area Head exhorted the members present and the inmates to use their stay in the centre to ground their faith in the Lord. He admonished them to leave the centre transformed to go out and make an impact.
Receiving the donations on behalf of the centre was Deaconess Grace Johnson (rtd), the leader and founder of the centre. She expressed her appreciation to the Area Head and the Dansoman Area for the show of love.
