Agona Swedru(C/R), March 15, GNA - The Member of Parliament for Agona East, Mr John Kwesi Agyabeng, has urged women associations and groups to form 93think tanks" to fight for gender equality and economic empowerment. He said the time had come for women associations to adopt strategic plans to ensure their welfare and progress. Mr Agyabeng said this at the inauguration of the Agonaman Ladies Association (ALA) at Agona Swedru on Saturday. He said women should organize talk shows and symposia to find answers to the numerous problems facing them. Mrs Sabina Ofori Boateng, a retired Court of Appeal Judge and Constitutional Expert who was Guest speaker, performed the inauguration and swore the six-member executives of the association into office. Mr Joe Appiah, Economic and Management Consultant who chaired the function, donated a computer and printer plus 1,000 Ghana cedis to the association. 15 March 11
