Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi
Drama unfolded at the Kumasi High Court this morning when Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi who had previously publicly boasted his eagerness to face Kwabena Agyei Agyepong and his lawyers in court was nowhere to be found.
The case was called initially at 9.30am but was stood down by the presiding judge, His Lordship Justice Kaglo, to allow the 1st defendant Wontumi more time to present himself to the Kumasi High Court.
However, about a half an hour later, a heavily built young man thought to be a member of the Delta Force name( withheld) appeared in court and introduced himself as Wontum's rep.
According to Silveronline24.com court correspondent, Odehunufour Jackson, Counsel for the 1st defendant Gary Nimako also failed to turn up.
When the case was eventually called counsel for the 2nd defendant Multi-Media, Ebenezer Adjei Bediako informed the court that they hadn't received a copy of Wontumi's statement of defense.
An obviously displeased presiding judge told Wontumi through his rep to instruct his lawyers to file any further issues regarding the court's directions and ensure that Multi-Media is served with a copy of his defence before the 15th of January 2018, the next court date.
The Judges further advised that in the interest of justice Wontumi must ensure his presence and that of his lawyers in court on the 15th day of January 2018.
Mr. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong was present in court with his lawyers Nana Freduah Agyemang Osborn Esq.and Mr Sarfo Gyamfi Esq.
