Work has began on a GH¢20,000 three-classroom block and a library complex for Yeboah Asuama Community Senior High School (SHS) at Nsuta in the Techiman Municipality.

The project is being funded by the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the Community.

Nana Johnson Kwadwo Gyakye, Board Chairman of the School, said this over the weekend when conducting the Ghana News Agency (GNA) round the project to assess progress of work.

He said the community decided to undertake the project to enhance teaching and learning, and had so far spent about GH¢14,000 on the project which had reached the lintel level.

Nana Gyakye said a four acre land for a new site had been released by the traditional authorities and appealed to citizens of the community both resident and non-residents as well as philanthropists for assistance to help undertake more of such development projects.

Mr. Enoch Osei Assibey, Assistant Headmaster of the school, commended Mr. Simons Addai, Member of Parliament for Techiman South, for providing GH¢3,500 to purchase roofing sheets for the project.

Nana Owusu Ameyaw, Chief of Nsuta, appealed to communities in the area to enroll their children in the school so that its relevance would be felt by all.
