World Vision Ghana has launched the ‘ENOUGH’ campaign, aimed at tackling malnutrition and child hunger in the country by facilitating access to nutritious meals for Ghanaian children.

The organization stated that it would work hand-in-hand with the government and relevant stakeholders to influence policies that will make the fight against malnutrition in children more manageable.

Speaking at World Vision’s Multipurpose Hall on Monday, July 1, 2024, the Child Protection and Advocacy Manager of World Vision Ghana, Mr. Gregory Dery, stressed that malnutrition affects children in every aspect of their lives.

He said, “Hundreds of millions of children suffer from curable diseases and are underweight, stunted, anemic, and overweight.

“Many children will not reach their potential, facing difficulties focusing in school, being forced to work or get married early. Children have the right to enough nutritious food for physical growth and brain development.

“Article 24 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child emphasizes the fundamental need for children to be well-nourished. The world is not acting quickly enough to save millions of children on the brink of starvation.”

The organization is calling on the support of the public and relevant government agencies to make the three-year campaign a success.
