The man on whose neck the controversial GH¢58million judgment debt scandal hangs like an albatross, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, became the toast of the just-ended parliamentary primaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Odododiodioo Constituency when he stormed the polling centre.
He arrived at the centre somewhere around midday wearing a broad smile on his face, with virtually everybody wanting to either catch a glimpse of him or shake hands with him.
Woyome sported a long-sleeved batik shirt with a pair of trousers and sandals.
Minutes after his entry, Woyome became the centre of attraction with virtually everybody wanting to have a photo opportunity with him.
Famous boxer and comedian, Braimah Kamoko aka Bukom Banku, and several other party supporters took pictures with him.
Woyome seemed surprised and happy by the rousing welcome that he received at the venue and willingly posed for the cameras.
He was offered a seat in the front row where party gurus like former Greater Accra regional chairman of the NDC, Danny Anang, NDC national women’s organiser, Anita De Souza and other kingpins were seated.
The controversial and self-acclaimed financier of the ruling party had a short conversation with most of the party bigwigs on the dais until the declaration of the election results in favour of Nii Lantey Vanderpuye.
