YAWC Network Ghana Chapter donates to squatters community at GIMPA Haatso stretch

Members of the YAWC Network, Ghana Chapter on April 12 donated food items including rice, cooking oil, water as well as hand sanitizers to the squatters community at the GIMPA-Haatso stretch in Accra as part of their contribution and commitment to fighting Covid-19 in Ghana.

The leader for the country's Chapter of the Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network, Mrs. Yaa Aduba Asare who led the donation exercise told the beneficiaries that it was out of love that the members of the women based network decided to come to their aid in these crucial times as the country and the rest of the world is being plagued with this global pandemic. She also expressed her gratitude to them for accepting the gifts.

Mr. Daniel Osei Tuffuor, the Executive Director of ExLA Group who accompanied the team made it known that the YAWC Network believe in helping others in times of need, hence this gesture is being replicated in other forms in the various countries where the Network has its Chapters.

The Team took the opportunity to educate the beneficiaries on the prescribed precautionary measures in order for them to stay healthy as the country are working hard to contain the disease.
