Youth Earnestly Ask for Huudu (YEAH), a political youth group rooting for the election of the indefatigable Huudu Yahaya as National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has lauded the National Executive Council (NEC) and the leadership of the party for the bold initiative taken in scrapping the troublesome clause, also known as “the Ebola clause” from the party’s election guidelines.

A news release signed by the National Coordinator of YEAH, Mr. Jeorge Wilson Kingson, and released on Wednesday noted that “The said clause is responsible for the several court cases that has bedeviled the regional and constituency elections of the party in recent times; causing discomfort to many loyalists”.

“The remarkable step by the party leadership,” according to YEAH “would afford the masses of our members the opportunity to serve the party and our beloved country as social democrats who give equal possibility to all”.

“We once again salute the wonderful gesture by our hardworking comrades,” the statement stated.

In same vein, YEAH has also congratulated Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo upon his election as the third-time standard bearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“We salute your tenacity and purpose to contest again for President- against the hardworking President Mahama."

“You are welcome once again, and it is our prayer that, you and your supporters and indeed all of us will ensure a very healthy campaign- devoid of acrimony in the run-up to the 2016 polls for the sake of our beloved country, Ghana,” the statement concluded.
