The Yagbonwura, Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, accompanied by chiefs from the Gonja Traditional Council, paid a visit to President John Dramani Mahama at his office to extend their congratulations following his inauguration and swearing-in on January 7, 2025.
This update was shared by Joyce Bawah Mogtari, a special aide to the president, on January 8, 2025, through a post on X.
The post stated that on his first day at work, President Mahama welcomed the Yagbonwura and his delegation of chiefs from the Gonja Traditional area.
It read, "On his first day at work, as President of the Republic of Ghana, HE John Dramani Mahama received an eminent guest, our Father the Yagbonwura, and his retinue of chiefs from the Gonja Traditional area."
John Dramani Mahama has been sworn in as the President of Ghana following his
decisive victory in the general elections held on December 7, 2024, where he secured a commanding mandate from Ghanaians.
