The Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Joseph Yammin, has admonished all disgruntled members of the party to exercise some patience with the Government for the President to deliver on his promises.

He was addressing a teeming of NDC supporters, mostly, the youth, that turned up for a keep fit programme organised in Kumasi recently by the Organised Youth of Ashanti (OYA), a group in the NDC.

Though it was a sporting event, most of the attendants of the historic programme held at the Jubilee Park, were heard complaining about the neglect on the part of their party.

The programme, therefore, turned to be a political rally for the NDC, as Mr Yammin seized the opportunity to outline some of the Government’s programmes and policies.

He described President Mahama as one of the caring Presidents that Ghana has ever had.

The Deputy Minister, therefore, charged the NDC supporters in the Ashanti Region not to give up hope, but rather continue working hard for the party since the “President would not let you down.”

According to him, Government’s good works would manifest in the lives of the people for all to see, reiterating his call on all NDC members to be patient and support the Government.

He also urged the youth of the party to avail themselves for party positions in the region as the NDC prepared to elect its new executives.

On his part, MP for Ahafo Ano North, Hon Kwasi Adusei, said, “Ghana’s situation was worse in 2013 mainly due to the election petition, but in the face of the difficulty, President Mahama has performed well.”

Brogya Genfi, a highly respected member of OYA said President Mahama was firmly in control of the management of the country, assuring that Ghanaians would soon experience the NDC’s good works in their lives.
