Yet Another NPP MP falls ...

Manso-Antoakrom (Ash) June 3, GNA - The Member of Parliament for Amansie West, Mr Kofi Krah Mensah, lost to Mrs. Grace Addo, a 48-year-old tutor, in the constituency primary held at Antoakrom at the weekend.
Mrs. Addo polled 63 votes out of the total of 191 votes to beat her other four opponents.
Mrs. Tabi Arhin and Mr. George Obeng, teachers had 42 votes and 35 votes respectively, with Mr. Obeng Takyi, Amansie West district Coordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme receiving 26 votes whiles Mr. Mensah had 24 votes.
Mr. Sam Cudjoe, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, thanked the delegates for the peaceful manner the election was conducted. He said the task ahead of the party was enormous and challenging and appealed to the members of the party to work as a team to ensure victory in the December polls.
Mrs. Addo commended the delegates for giving her the nod and assured them that everything possible would be done to ensure the development of the area.
