Former Roads and Highway minister under former president Mahama, Inusah Fuseini, has chided the senior minister for scolding the president publicly.
According to the Tamale Central legislator, Mr. Osafo was politically incorrect for criticising the president over his endorsement of Jospong Group of companies.
He described the development as a friction in the Flagstaff House.
“The chicken has come home to roost…the centre cannot hold any longer,” Mr Fuseini said.
President Akufo Addo received a lot of backlashes from anti graft bodies after he showered the CEO of Jospong Groups with praises for addressing sanitation issues in the country.
The president also sympathises with the businessman over the various corruption scandals he is reported to have been involved in.
“When you are at the forefront of doing things like you are, you will be the subject of controversy, it goes with the territory. I know you a little bit, and I know you are capable of handling it. Stay focused,” the president said.
Answering a question at the launch of the Anti-corruption campaign in Accra Monday, Mr Osafo Maafo said the president’s praise of Mr Agyepong “will not be right” if the allegations against him are accurate.
“It’s certainly not right. It will give the wrong signals if you are seen to be pampering or endorsing a known wrongdoer,” he said.
