The General Secretary for the main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has warned that the NDC will not tolerate any attempts by members of the NPP to intimidate its members in the 2020 General Elections.
He said despite party Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo standing trial over allegations of kidnappings and arson, he believes it will not affect their chances of winning the elections.
According to him, the NDC was founded with courageous and bold people who are ready to die for the party if need be to wrestle political power in 2020.
‘General Mosquito’ as affectionately called, said his outfit is focused in winning the 2020 elections and nothing can stop them from winning
“Nobody should relent because our national pledge and national anthem urge every citizen to fight the oppressor’s rule and let us assure everybody that nothing can break the resolve of a determined people. We are marching forward to victory with or without this intimidation.”
“They have intentions to intimidate us in 2020 because they believe that we are soft and cowards.
“You must understand that this party was formed by courageous people. Our leaders who formed this party that has now become the biggest political movement in Ghana were not cowards.”
