Some social media users believe Anas is going to the extreme and so he should leave Nyantakyi alone.
It seems the battle between investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, and embattled former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, is not ending soon.
Anas has taken the battle to another twist amidst threats from Nyantakyi to sue him.
In a document signed by Anas and sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Facebook of one The Sammy Darko, Anas has written to the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, the Governor of Bank of Ghana, the Chief Executive, Officer of the Financial Intelligence Center, and the Executive Director of the Economic & Organised Crime office (EOCO), on behalf of Nyantakyi.
He has requested that further investigations be made in respect of Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi that he has breached the criminal laws of Ghana including offenses as money laundering, among other offenses as stated by Anas.
Anas’ petition follows his own exposé on Nyantakyi themed: Number 12’, in which the later was caught engaging in all sorts of corrupt deals.
However, some social media users believe Anas’ latest petition is uncalled for because Nyantakyi has already been embarrassed and paid dearly for his crime by resigning and losing all privileges.
Meanwhile, Kwesi Nyantakyi has threatened to sue Anas for damages for defamation.
The government has also named a three-member committee to oversee Ghana Football affairs as the GFA board has been dissolved.
Police are still investigating Kwesi Nyantakyi who has been charged with fraud.
