Prophet Dr. Kofi Oduro of Alabaster International Ministry has added his voice to the ongoing fracas between church members of Zoe Outreach Embassy and their General Overseer who asked them to invest in his financial institution.
The man of God told his congregation on Sunday that the church is not a place for investment but a house where the lost are saved and drawn to God.
There was drama at the Zoe Outreach Embassy when some people stormed the church, briefly disrupted church service to demand what they say is their locked up investments, last week Sunday.
The customers say they were convinced by the founder and leader of the East Legon-based church to invest hundreds of cedis with EL Real Estates and Tikowre Capital.
They say all attempts since last year to withdraw the tower ends, principal from the two entities allegedly owned by Kelvin Kwesi Kobiri have proven futile.
The customers have stormed the church again today (Sunday) wielding placards did landing for their locked up cash.
Commenting on the issue, Dr. Prophet Oduro said the job of men of God us to turn a soul to God and not to be telling them to be their money for investments.
“The church is not a place for investment, the church is not a place for business. If you want to do business, go to the business community and deal with them”
He said now the church members are crashed and wondered why Ghanaians have not learnt their lessons from the Menzgold example.
He advised persons who want to invest their money to consider the housing sector instead of investing it in Ponzi schemes.
He indicated that Ghanaians don’t want to sweat but want quickest ways to make money hence the reason why they are always defrauded by Ponzi schemes.
He challenged men of God to focus on teaching people to know God and accept Christ as their Lord and personal saviour.
