President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reminded Ghanaians that John Dramani Mahama's record as President did not merit a second term.
He says since he did not merit a second term in 2016, he does not merit a term after the 2024 elections.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo believes John Dramani Mahama is on an image-cleansing agenda because he believes the Ghanaian people have forgotten his records.
"Because they believe that we have short memories, we don't remember their record. We remember their record. The record of failure," he said.
Citing Ghana's presidents over the years, he indicated that apart from Atta Mills, who died, John Dramani Mahama is the only President who had one term due to his poor showing as President.
The President emphasized that the Ghanaian people will never forget John Mahama's bad record because the NPP will continue to remind the Ghanaian people of his poor showing as President.
"It is only one President whose record did not merit a second term, and you and I know who I am talking about. It's the man who wants to come back to save his image because he believes Ghanaians have forgotten his records. Mr candidate, your record cannot be forgotten. We cannot allow that record to be forgotten," he said.
He assured the people of Ghana that the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would offer the leadership that would take Ghana to where she must be.
