'Your fatherly counsel has shaped my personal and political life' – NAPO to Okyehene

Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is said to be one of the persons being considered for the running mate position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed his immense gratitude to the Okyehene, His Royal Majesty Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, for his guidance and for acting as a father figure to him.

Opoku Prempeh shared photos of himself during a visit to the Okyehene and conveyed to his followers the special relationship he has with the monarch and how his life and career have been shaped by the Okyehene.

“Last night, I called on the Okyehene, His Royal Majesty Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin. A father figure and a man I have so much admiration and respect for, our relationship and bond of affection go way back.

“Osagyefo’s wise and fatherly counsel has been invaluable, shaping many aspects of my personal and political life, and so this was another profound opportunity to listen to his words of wisdom,” part of Opoku Prempeh’s tweet read.

He also congratulated Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin on his 25th anniversary of ascending the Ofori Panin Stool.

“I am grateful to His Royal Majesty for his steadfast support to me over the years and also congratulate him warmly on the 25th anniversary marking his ascension to the Ofori Panin Stool.”
