The Upper West Regional House of Chiefs has expressed admiration for the Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his honesty and transparency.
During his campaign tour of the Upper West Region, Dr. Bawumia interacted with the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs in Wa on Monday, May 20. He shared his vision and policies for Ghana under his potential presidency.
Naa Dikomwine Domalee, Dafiama Naa, who is also the President of the House, welcomed him. He commended Dr. Bawumia for his high integrity, stating, "Your principles, honesty, accountability, and transparency in governance, along with your devotion to duty, are positive qualities that will benefit your future endeavours." He added that the House takes pride in the Vice President.
"We are very proud of you," he said.
"We wish you well in your task of assisting the President of Ghana in governing Mother Ghana. As traditional rulers, we understand you and your problems, but wish to assure you that we pray to the ancestors for their blessings on you."
Dr. Bawumia thanked the Regional House of Chiefs for their support, prayers, and encouragement over the years.
He also spoke extensively about the work he has done as Vice President to support the President and shared with them the policies he intends to implement as President, should he be elected. He explained his new policies on agriculture, mining, overhauling the tax system, and youth policies, among many others.
