The Paramount Chief of the Saboba Traditional Area, Bowan John Mateer Sakojim IV, has expressed profound gratitude to the NPP government, particularly to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for what he described as transformative initiatives that have benefited his community.

During a community gathering following a courtesy visit from Dr. Bawumia, the chief reflected on the progress Saboba has witnessed under the NPP’s governance.

He highlighted projects such as the Agenda 111 hospital, the construction of military barracks, and other infrastructural improvements as critical milestones that have positively impacted the lives of his people.

“We have seen remarkable changes in Saboba under your leadership. These developments have elevated the living standards of our people,” the chief remarked.

Bowan John Mateer praised Dr. Bawumia’s character and leadership, describing him as a man of integrity and vision.

He expressed confidence in the Bawumia-NAPO partnership, noting that their collaboration is crucial to ushering Ghana into a new era of progress.

“Your dedication and sense of purpose inspire confidence in our community. We believe in your ability to continue leading us toward a brighter future,” he said.

Despite his commendation, the chief seized the opportunity to call attention to the challenges still plaguing his community.

He appealed for urgent interventions to improve the deplorable road networks in Saboba, expand infrastructure, and establish a tertiary institution in the area.

He also advocated for the St. Joseph Technical Institute to be upgraded to polytechnic status, emphasizing the importance of higher education in equipping the youth with practical skills.

“Education is key to our development. Upgrading St. Joseph to a polytechnic will provide more opportunities for our young people and strengthen the future of Saboba,” he added.
