Nkoranza (B/A), June 7, GNA- Mr. Kwame Amporfo-Twumasi, deputy Minister of Energy, has appealed to the youth of political parties in the country to ensure the success of the 2008 Election. He asked them to be disciplined and to guard against behaviours that could negatively affect the 2008 Election. Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi, who is also Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkoranza South, was addressing separate meetings with the people at Sessiman, Kassardjan and Nkoranzafie in the area. He said "The fact that you belong to different political parties does not mean you are enemies," and urged the youth to bury their differences and unite for development.

Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi cautioned the youth against campaigns of insults and provocative statements that could mar the elections. He commended the people for approving his candidature to contest the parliamentary seat and said he would continue to ensure the development of the area if the people retained him as MP. Mr. Thomas Owusu-Ansah, Assembly Member for Sessiman electoral area, commended the MP for his contributions to the development of the constituency and appealed to the people to vote for him in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. He cited the provision of electricity poles, sinking of boreholes and building of school blocks as some of the projects initiated by the MP.

Mr. Owusu-Ansah, Nkoranza South constituency secretary of the National Democratic Congress, said Mr. Amporfo-Twumasi had not allowed partisan politics to influence him in initiating projects and urged other MPs to emulate the gesture.
