Youth urged walk in God's truth - Pastor Mensah

Suhum (E/R), Feb. 21, GNA - Pastor Anthony Mensah of the Assemblies of God church, Suhum New Town branch, has urged the youth to walk in God's truth in order for them to be successful. Preaching the gospel at a special church programme for the youth at the weekend, Pastor Mensah noted that sinful acts had increased among the youth and therefore advised them to shun all forms of vices. He said parents must set few basic but strict rules at homes for their children to follow in order to save children from becoming wayward. According to him, lack of such rules in the homes has contributed to indiscipline in society stressing.

Pastor Mensah also urged leaders of the church to continue to selflessly pursue the preaching of Christ. He advised them not to shy away from speaking against negative tendencies, particularly in the church and society, adding, Christians must believe and trust in God for all their needs and must not rely on human beings, since they would not solve their problems. Pastor Mensah urged Christians not only to be preachers of God's word but also they must put into practice the work of Christ by serving humanity. He therefore called on Christians to renew their faith in God to enable them to stand the challenges of the time. 21 Feb 10
