Zakmus commissioning the project
The chief executive officer of Zakmus Business Chain, Mr. Zakaria Cobbina, has shared a touching life experience that brought him to the peak of the business ladder. He made this known during the opening of his Ashiaman project, which includes an ultra-modern toilet facility and a lodging place for head porters.
According to Mr. Zakaria Cobbina, he has done almost every menial job in the country due to his poor background. He started as a scavenger worker, moved to selling salt over time, and later switched to selling bread. As his financial situation kept worsening, he entered into kerosene trading but still couldn't find his feet. He made a desperate attempt at fish hunting, which yielded no success.
All these difficult moments did not humble him; rather, his enduring perseverance finally turned a corner through the coconut business. In an exclusive interview with the media, he said that everyone can make it in life regardless of their background. Getting your money in order requires self-discipline. Your lifestyle may change quite frequently throughout your life, but your approach to money should stay the same.
"I have slept on the streets before, but encouraged myself that there is no one to help, so I shouldn't give up in life," he opined. He urged all governments to support the private sector. He further paid a glowing tribute to women for all that they go through in supporting their families.
The municipal chief executive for Ashiaman Assembly, Honourable Albert Okyere, said that what Mr. Zakaria Cobbina has done for Ashiaman aligns with the bigger vision President Nana Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr. Bawumia, have for Ghana. "This is a very good initiative by an individual, and I hope others will emulate it. This is exactly what the president is talking about," he said.
