Zanetor is my model politician - Justice Atuguba

Retired Supreme Court judge, Justice William Atuguba, has professed his admiration for the Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings.

Speaking in an interview with GHOne TV on November 17, 2024, the retired Supreme Court judge named some politicians in Ghana he trusts, including Zanetor Rawlings, whom he described as his "model politician."

Justice Atuguba indicated that aside from the politicians he named, he has issues with most politicians because they are not truthful.

“Me, I always confess I have problems with politicians. Some politicians are honest. I've mentioned an Appiah-Kubi; I don't know him, never seen him. I have mentioned Ayikwei Otoo; I've mentioned Gloria Akuffo and even Dan Botchway. It is just because he's too deep (sic), but that man, I think he's a God-fearing person, but he's too connected.

“You look at Zanetor Rawlings, huh! I think she's my model politician. I don't know her personally. Because when I was sitting on her case at that time, she was a small little girl. We called her case; she appeared in the gallery. That was all. Never seen her. But from social media, her political posturing is very positive. These are people who are politicians, but I don't fear them,” he said.

He added, “But the typical ones see your light white as it is brightening, and they say it's deep black."

The retired judge also named the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, as among the honest politicians in the country.
