Zongo development fund only for weddings at Zongos - Brogya Gyamfi

The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Brogya Gyamfi has accused President Akufo Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) for using the Zongo Development Fund merely for weddings at various Zongo communities differing the main purpose of creating the fund under the NPP government.

According to him, the NPP as a party has only been ‘throwing dus’t on the eye of the ordinary Ghanaians with the creation of the Zongo Development Fund but cannot boast of a single achievement since its inception.

He made the statement in an interview with Abusua News on Wednesday.

He claims the sector minister has shirked from his rightful duties and has only been ”attending wedding at Zongos”.

”Zongo Development minister, Abubakar Saddique Boniface has only been attending weddings, Amaliya naming Ceremonies and so on simply because his outfit has failed the Zongo communities with their incessant lies”.

He says” If you critically examine what has transpired in 2017 it looks like the NPP is only good at talking and lying to the good people of this country but can’t even boast of any single achievement since they were elected into office’’.

”Yes the NPP government instituted Zongo development Fund but the question here is what have they done with since its inception” What benefit has Tafo Zongo gotten from the NPP’s Zongo Development Fund for the past one year absolutely nothing so what is the essence of the Fund they keep making noise with” he asked.
