Accra, May 29, GNA - The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) on Monday expressed its condolence to the family, the New Patriotic Party and friends of the late Professor Adu Boahen who died last Wednesday. A statement signed by Dr. Edmund Delle, National Chairman and leader of the party said, the news of the death of the Late Professor Adu Boahen came as a shock.

The statement recalled his bravery in the early days of the military rule in Ghana and how he fought towards democratic governance in the country until his last breathe.

"History would rank him as one of the most powerful historians that Africa has ever had. Ghanaians will forever, remember you for the unique role you played in our body politics," the statement said. The party expressed the hope that Ghanaians would choose to emulate the good works of the professor in order to sustain our infant democracy.
