NPP Denies Ritual Murder Allegations

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has in a quick rebuttal, rubbished the allegations that one of its regional executives has been arrested for ritual murder in the constituency, as ill-intended and propagandist. NPP General Secretary, Nana Ohene Ntow in an interview denied the arrest of any Ashanti regional executive of the Party on allegations of committing ritual murder.

Nana Ohene Ntow condemned what he described as a malicious and repugnant, negative propaganda being waged by the NDC against the NPP. Citi news learnt that the alleged suspect is one Samuel Yeboah, but Nana Ohene Ntow said there is no such person as one of the Party's regional executives.

Meanwhile, the Police have told Citi news that the alleged suspect is a 50-year-old farmer and Akpeteshie distiller in a village called Kayira in the Offinso District. The Offinso Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP Salifu told Citi news that the suspect, Samuel Yeboah, is alleged to have killed the 13-year-old girl in the bush on Sunday, October 22, 2006.
