Mob Kills 16-Year-Old Immigrant In London

A London teenager studying for his university entrance exams was attacked and killed by a gang as his girlfriend watched in horror.
Police arrested a man, 21, and six teenage boys, four of them only 13, The Telegraph said.
The victim, Kodjo Yengo, 16, had been visiting his girlfriend and her family Wednesday evening. The young couple were walking his mother's dog when they encountered his attackers, The Sun said.
His girlfriend, who wanted to be identified only as Cookie, told The Telegraph that she and Yengo encountered one boy who challenged him to a fight. More teenagers arrived armed with bats and knives.
"For a few minutes I didn't know what was happening and then Kodjo was lying there bleeding," she said. "I put his head on my lap and just rocked him gently. I was saying: 'Please tell me you are not going to die, because I need you -- I need you.'"
Police said Yengo, from a family of immigrants from Ghana, may have strayed onto gang turf. The attack took place in a working-class area that is starting to attract richer residents.
The Oscar-nominated actor Ralph Fiennes lives near the place where Yengo was attacked.
