Drivers happy about Bush's visit

Accra, Feb. 20, GNA - A section of drivers in Accra on Wednesday expressed their happiness with the visit of President George Walker Bush despite constraints. The drivers expressed the hope that the visit of Mr. Bush would yield fruitful benefits, especially to help to boost trade and strengthen the economy of Ghana. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Kojo Owusu, a driver at Tema Station, said he was glad that Bush was in town adding, "This shows that President Kufuor is doing well as far as democracy is concerned".

Accra, Feb. 20, GNA - A section of drivers in Accra on Wednesday expressed their happiness with the visit of President George Walker Bush despite constraints. The drivers expressed the hope that the visit of Mr. Bush would yield fruitful benefits, especially to help to boost trade and strengthen the economy of Ghana. In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Kojo Owusu, a driver at Tema Station, said he was glad that Bush was in town adding, "This shows that President Kufuor is doing well as far as democracy is concerned". John Obeng, also a driver, said his problem was the blocking of some principal roads in the city, which had made driving on some routes difficult. Charles Awuah, a stationmaster, said that he hoped the visit would help boost the economy since President Bush came with investors. Jojo Ablorh, a passenger, said he hoped the American Embassy would be a bit liberal with its visa application requirements since Mr Bush's visit was a sign of goodwill. President Bush accompanied by his wife and American businessmen are in the country on a three-day visit.
