Juaso (Ash), June 13, GNA- About 20 victims, who survived a tragic road accident at Atwedie in the early hours of Thursday and were rushed to the Juaso District Hospital have been treated and discharged. The survivors, most of whom, were from the Brong Ahafo region, have been referred to various health facilities in their home towns, to enable their families to attend to them.
Others, whose conditions were serious, have been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), in Kumasi for further treatment. Dr. Ahmed Habib, Medical Superintendent of the Juaso District Hospital, who made this known, said all the victims were in stable conditions, when they were discharged.
It would be recalled that a fatal road accident, which occurred at the outskirts of the Atwedie in the Asante Akim South involving a Sunyani bound OA bus and an articulated truck on Thursday, claimed eight lives. 13 June 08
