Tema, Sept. 12, GNA - Prudential Bank says it is set to introduce more electronic-based banking products to ensure smooth and convenient banking transactions for customers. Some of the products that the bank envisaged to introduce include mobile phone banking, debit and credit cards, electronic payments, electronic marketing and internet banking. Mr Joseph .O. Afrane, Deputy Managing Director in charge of Finance, Administration and Credit Administration, who announced this to inaugurate the Tema Fishing Harbour branch of the bank, said the move was part of efforts to use modern technology to serve its customers. He said the former Tema branch located at the KASS building in Tema, would be renamed KASS Agency to continue to provide banking services to customers.
Mr Afrane explained that the new Fishing Harbour branch was purposely opened to meet the banking needs of the expanding business of the fishing community at the harbour area. "The branch has been provided with Automated Teller Machine (ATM) services to provide convenient banking services. Customers of the branch can make cash withdrawals, access their statements among others," he said
He also announced that plans were far advanced to roll out additional branches across the country before the end of the year. The bank, he said, had during the past eleven years, established its presence strongly in the local banking sector. Mr Afrane urged the fishing communities in the Tema municipality to access credit from the bank to expand their businesses. 12 Sept. 08
