The event also reminds Christians of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. Christmas marks one of the most important beliefs of Christians - the virgin birth of their saviour, Jesus Christ. In Accra, churches were decorated with Christmas trees, ribbons and flowers. The day is also being marked with picnics, get-togethers and family re-unions as well as exchange of messages of reconciliation and good wishes from friends and relatives.
