GRI The Free press says the District Chief Executive for Fanteakwa in the Eastern Region, Mr Ofosu Ampofo, has been accused of serious fraud, corruption and maladministration. Under a front page headline: "Fanteakwa DCE in trouble...Citizens want his removal:, the Free Press says concerned citizens of the district have therefore called on the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development to institute a probe into his activities as the DCE. According to the Free Press Messrs Roger Nti and Kwame Agyei, citizens of the area spoke to the paper and alleged that Mr Ampofo managed to deceive residents of the district and stole a lot of public funds meant for development projects in the area. The DCE who is also the Member of Parliament for the area, claimed to have spent millions of cedis on the projects which included a clinic and a three classroomed block, the Free Press says, GRI
