Koforidua, July 9, GNA - The New Juaben Municipal Co-ordinating Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Friday appealed to the Municipal Police to refuse permit to a group of people calling themselves "Concerned NDC" who have applied for a permit to organize a demonstration in the area.

This was contained in a statement issued by the party and signed by the chairman of the Co-ordinating Committee of the party, Mr Owusu Boahene Koduro and the secretary, Mr Forster Tetteh.

The statement said at a meeting by the leadership of the party and the leaders of the "Concerned NDC" group, including Mr Anthony Brookman, their organizer, it was found that none of them were registered members of the party.

"None of them could also identify with any of the branches of the party in the municipality and even one of them was identified as an activist of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The party therefore said the said "Concerned NDC group" does not belong to the NDC, but rather New Patriotic Party (NPP) activists who want to deceive the public to push through their diabolical agenda.

The party therefore appealed to the police not to grant the said "Concerned NDC Group" police permit to organize any demonstration on the ticket of the NDC.
