SOURCE: NEW CRUSADING GUIDE

This is the third in our ongoing series to expose the chronic serial liar, Madam Gizelle Yazji, who is back on the Ghanaian airwaves with her worn-out, discredited, ugly noises and allegations, apparently in response to some references former President J.A. Kufuor had made about unfounded and defamatory media reports about his alleged purchase of an uncompleted hotel building near his private residence and the subsequent fall-out of the existence of twins allegedly fathered by him (Kufuor) as a result of a secret relationship between him and Madam Gizelle Yazji in 2005. We continue today with some anti-Kufuor stories occasioned by her and how she failed to live up to the billing when it mattered most. Read on…

GIZELLE YAZJI’S PASSPORT REVOKED?

…Story Filed By ‘Ghana Palaver’, August 9-11, 2005, Page 8

Sources close to Ms. Gizelle Yazji, the lady at the centre of the “Hotel Kufuor” storm, revealed over the weekend that THE NPP GOVERNMENT HAD CANCELLED THE VISA WHICH SHE WOULD USE TO TRAVEL TO GHANA TO TESTIFY AGAINST PRESIDENT JOHN AGYEKUM KUFUOR BEFORE THE CHRAJ.

Ms. Yazji insists that she was instructed by President Kufuor to negotiate for the purchase of “Hotel Kufuor” and that President Kufuor is the real owner of the hotel with his son, Chief John Addo Kufuor acting as a frontman for his father.

According to our sources, the staff of Gizelle Yazji’s office in the USA received a phone call last Friday (August 5, 2005) morning from a person claiming to be an official of the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC, USA, AND INFORMING HER THAT HER GHANAIAN VISA, VALID TILL 2007, HAD BEEN REVOKED.

When the staff tried to elicit from the caller his identify, he hung up.

The staff reacted by calling the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC to confirm that the call had originated from the Mission. As soon as they mentioned the reason for the call, the recipient at the Ghana Embassy also hung up.

Meanwhile, our sources inform us that Ms. Yazji was going to send an officer to the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC yesterday to confirm the authenticity of the call and also get a formal notification of the cancellation, if indeed the visa had been cancelled.

It will be recalled that in her interview with Radio Gold last week, MS. YAZJI CONFIRMED THAT SHE HAD A FIVE-YEAR VISA ISSUED TO HER IN 2002 ON THE AUTHORIZATION OF PRESIDENT KUFUOR, WHICH EXPIRES IN 2007, AND THAT THE ONLY THING THAT COULD PREVENT HER FROM COMING TO GHANA TO TESTIFY WOULD BE IF PRESIDENT KUFUOR ORDERED FOR THE VISA TO BE REVOKED.

GIZELLE YAZJI’s ‘VISA CANCELLATION STORY’ IS “BOGUS AND FRAUDULENT”!

…Records Show She Had No 5-Year Visa, Her 3-Year Visa Expires In 3rd Week Of August, 2005!

By Kweku Baako, Jnr., Editor-in-Chief (Story Filed By The Crusading GUIDE, August 9-15, 2005 – Page 3)

The weird claims of ‘visa cancellation’ made last Saturday (August 6, 2005) by Ms. Gizelle Yazji, a Syrian, on one of Ghana’s leading radio stations, Radio Gold, have turned out to be completely false.

Checks and double-checks made by The Crusading GUIDE over the weekend both in and out of Ghana have conclusively established that Ms. Yazji lied when she told Radio Gold last Thursday that she had a visa of a life-span of five (5) years dating back from the year 2002 which was expected to expire in 2007.

Further checks also indicated that she lied again on Saturday, August 6, 2005 when she told Alhaji Bature and company on the same radio station that her visa had been cancelled via a telephone call she claimed her office had received from the Ghana Mission in Washington in the morning of August 5, 2005.

Speaking separately to Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nana Akufo-Addo, Mr. I.K. Christian, Acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and highly-placed officials of the Embassy of Ghana in the United States, yours truly was informed in no uncertain and/or unambiguous terms that “no instructions or directives had been issued by government, the MFA or Ghana’s Embassy (in Washington) or Consulate (New York) to withdraw the visa of Ms. Yazji as she alleged on Radio Gold last Saturday morning”.

Both Nana Akufo-Addo and Mr. Christian were categorical: “NOTHING OF THAT SORT HAS HAPPENED, WE HAVE NO REASON TO DO ANYTHING OF THAT SORT. SHE IS PEDDLING AN OBVIOUS UNTRUTH”, they underscored confidently.

“THE MISSION HAS NOT RECEIVED, REPEAT, NOT RECEIVED, ANY DIRECTIVE FROM EITHER THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OR ANY OTHER OFFICE FOR THE CANCELLATION OF THE SAID VISA”, stressed an August 7 fax message from the Embassy of Ghana in the USA to the Minister of Foreign Affairs which was signed on behalf of Head of Mission by J.C. Ackon, Minister Counsellor, and sighted by this paper.

The Ghana Mission(s) in the USA, both in Washington and New York, have also categorically denied being sources of any telephone call to Ms. Yazji’s office, informing her of the withdrawal and/or cancellation of her 3-year visa which is due to expire in the third week of August this year.

“We do not use telephone calls to withdraw or cancel visas. We are too professional for that and will not do so”, emphasised Mr. Christian.

Providing the bare facts surrounding Ms. Yazji’s visa status, Mr. Christian said OFFICIAL RECORDS SHOW THAT SHE (YAZJI) APPLIED FOR AND WAS ISSUED A SINGLE VISA IN MID-JULY 2002. SHE AGAIN APPLIED FOR AND WAS ISUSED A 3-YEAR MULTIPLE VISA DURING THE THIRD WEEK OF AUGUST, 2002.

“HER MULTIPLE VISA WILL THEREFORE EXPIRE AT THE END OF THE THIRD WEEK OF AUGUST, 2005 AND SO HER VISA IS STILL VALID UNTIL THEN, AND WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY CAUSE TO CANCEL IT”, emphasised Mr. Christian.

? GIZELLE YAZJI’s BIO-DATA:

MS. YAZJI, A SYRIAN BY NATIONALITY, WAS BORN ON MARCH 19, 1959, IN CHAD, LEBANON. SHE CLAIMS TO BE A LAWYER CUM ECONOMIST AND IS PRESENTLY LOCATED IN 12205 N.E. 38 AVENUE, NO: 2505, MIAMI, FLORIDA 33180. SHE HOLDS PASSPORT NUMBER 3961776, ISSUED ON JANUARY 18, 2001 AND SLATED TO EXPIRE ON JANUARY 17, 2007.

The exposure of her lies relative to this visa saga is one more proof of her unreliability as witness in anything to do with her stay and activities in Ghana. SHE HAS LIED ON THE ‘TWINS ISSUE’, FALSELY CHARGED THE CRUSADING GUIDE OF FORGERY OF PHOTOGRAPHS, PEDDLED CONTRADICTIONS AND INCONSISTENCIES ON SO MANY ISSUES THAT IT STILL REMAINS A MYSTERY/WONDER THAT SHE STILL COMMANDS SOME RESPECT AND RECEPTIVITY IN SOME POLITICAL AND MEDIA CIRCLES IN GHANA TODAY.
