Dr Kingsley Agyemang has been appointed a Visiting Research Fellow at Aston University
A lecturer at KNUST, Dr Kingsley Agyemang, has been appointed as a Visiting Research Fellow in the prestigious College of Business and Social Sciences at Aston University in the United Kingdom.
The highly competitive appointment is in recognition of Dr Agyemang’s unique skill of translational cutting-edge research that combines pragmatism of industry and academic rigour, with the aim to reducing economic burden of healthcare in the global south using context specific multi-level solutions.
During the 3-year appointment, he is expected to contribute to strategic research leadership at Aston and the mentoring of academic staff and students.
Aston University is part of the elite group of global business schools that hold the gold standard of “triple-crown” accreditation from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.
As the first UK Business School to receive the distinguished EQUIS accreditation, Aston sees this appointment as a route to tap into a unique skill of deeper understanding of methodologically rigorous approaches to research and the actual experience of decision making.
Dr Agyemang, who co-leads masters modules on human resources and health economics modules at the Department of Health Policy, Management and Economics KNUST, told GhanaWeb: “I am humbled by this appointment and see it as an opportunity to share my wealth of global experience in industry and academia garnered across both Europe and Africa with talented faculty and students.
"This will ultimately empower them to unlock their potential and create avenues for collaborations with KNUST and other universities in Ghana.”
