  When Akufo Addo was over borrowing, which Ghanaian apart himself and his people were there with them? But when the debt got out of hands, every Ghanaian was made to bear part of the consequence, by imposing e levy and many other nuisance taxes on them, even Snr citizens weren't spared, In any situation that is out of hands, it's solution will always involve an unfortunate innocent casualty. So i don't get his innocent law abiding citizens thing dat he is talking about.If some few must be sacrificed to save the entire populace, it's unnegotiable and doesn't even need a second thought.

Akuffo Addo has the power to pack the Supreme Court with matemeho ideologues and the EC with NPP footsoldiers. However, he is powerless to enforce the law on galamsey. Like seriously? If you don't want collective punishment, go to Akuffo Addo and advise him on what to do. You were once the director of PIAC so you know the terrain.

  Instead of banning all small-scale mining, Ghanaians should rather kick out this corrupt and incompetent Julor House galamsey government that has shirked its responsibilities and allowed illegal mining operations to go on with impunity. No use penalizing miners who have not been shown to have destroyed lands or polluted rivers. The government has a responsibility to not only stop galamsey but to also impose fines on scale-mining operators who may have broken the law or regulations in the course of their operations. Banning all small-scale mining will only be sanctioning government incompetence. Had the government not turned a blind eye to destruction of lands and polluting of rivers by by mining bad actors, the country would not now be faced faced with the destruction and pouting that continues be wrecked across the nation.

  I am surprised that all these destruction of the vegetation and water bodies have been attributed to illegal mining (galamsey). Technically, galamsay is illegal small scale mining, and this term is not used for the licensed small scale miners. But the fact remains that both of them destroy the vegetation and water bodies. So to protect the environment, small scale mining in any form must be banned altogether/

  today in the mining sector , everybody is claiming he or she is doing the right thing in mining, yet still the waterbodies has kept from bad to worse case scenario .
  what the meaningful Ghanaians are saying is that
  BAN ALL MINING ACTIVITIES - to allow the water bodies regain their hygienic status , then we could talk about
  how to streamline the morning activities to prevent the waters bodies from draughts .
  if this sensible suggestion is alien to the greedy fews,
  the whole country must spark their anger further deep and aggressive in stoping the mining activities.
