I am all for a speedy economic recovery and development process but I fear that Mahama is over-reaching himself with so many new initiatives when it is obvious that the kitty is empty as a result of brazen looting by the previous govt. Again, nobody anywhere depends on intellectuals to get things done. If you doubt this, refer to countries like the US, China, India, Russia, Japan and see how many people with high falutin academic credentials, you will find involved with serious development activities. Very rare. We all should be cognizant of the fact that intellectuals by their very nature are not creative nor are they gifted with sentiments of initiative. At best, one can call on them for their specialized opinions on a subject matter.
