  Manasseh Azure, when the Mills government took a loan of $3billion from the Chinese which the lender included a clause making her citizens part of the agreement for them to come to Ghana and go into mining, where were you? The Chinese cannot be prosecuted because your NDC party have given them the power to do the unthinkable by destroying our environment no matter what.

  I totally disagree agree with you Manasseh. The Ghanaians in this case are traitors, betrayers , greedy, self seeking, unpatriotic. Let's remember the foreigners didn't come to Ghana and secure their galamsey site without Ghanaian collaboration or support. For me l wish we amend the 1992 constitution and the criminal code so that Ghanaians who collaborate with foreigners to destruction of our forest, land resources, water bodies commit the crime of treason.If we stick to this principle, Ghana our beloved country will be free for ever.

I am not enthused about the fight against illegal mining though the government is doing something but it does appear we treating the menace with kids gloves. Mahama when in opposition demanded from Akuffo Addo to declare a state of emergency on galamsey in forest reserves and water bodies but what stops Mahama from declaring state of emergency? Mahama should up his game .
