Granted that Hon. Sam George promised in opposition of reducing the cost of data when given the opportunity to be in gov't, in my opinion it's pretty too soon to pass any judgment on his performance as a minister.
Sometimes, a little more patience and tolerance is needed in these matters as some level of bureaucracy is involved.
Without holding brief for him, at this juncture, he is engaging with the industry stakeholders on the modalities for some form of consensus on the subject matter and it will be a little bit unfair to conclude that he is sleeping on the job just because the final result of data cost reduction is not yet reached.
The above notwithstanding, the hon. minister must take the criticism in good faith and work assiduously to accomplish the promise in time as the Ghanaian public rightly demand timely deliverables from gov't officials.
Always make reference to the Election Results of 2024 and be act accordingly. As the saying goes; 'to whom much is given, much is expected'.
