Just remember that you can be an ambassador for your country of origin by being a law-abiding resident in Ghana and proving to the nay-sayers that people from other countries living in Ghana can be a force for good.
The other day I heard a Ghanaian who is normally based in the USA complaining bitterly about "the aliens destroying Ghana". The irony is that he himself had been telling us a few months prior to this that he and other Africans faced constant discrimination at every level in many parts of the USA including the town he was resident in simply because of their skin colour. He stated that BEING BLACKIN THE USA WAS VERY VERY TOUGH because you were under constant suspicion of criminal activity by the authorities especially the cops, you were discrimnated against in the jobs market and when looking to rent or buy a house in the more decent parts of town you faced an uphill task.
For sure every country including Ghana has a duty to filter who comes into their country so that they can prevent criminals and other dangerous and undesirable elements from settling in their country. However raw tribal bigotry, racism, xenophobia and hatred of people solely on the basis of their skin colour, culture or religion must never ever be tolerated.And it is grossly unfair to tarnish a whole people, tribe,nation or race because of a few bad examples. IT ISSO MUCH MUCH EASIER TO BECOME PREJUDICED THAN TO TAKE A STEP BACK AND LOOK OBJECTIVELY AT SOMEONE FROM A DIRRENT TRIBE,RACE,CULTURE ,RELIGION AND VIEW THEM AS FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS, A BROTHER OR SISTER WHO DESERVES THE SAME FAIR TREATMENT WE EXPECT TO GET FROM OTHERS.The vast majority of foreigners ,including the biggest group in Ghana,our Nigerian brothers and sisters, contribute positively to Ghana's economy- and whether we want to admit it or not this includes MOST of those living here "without papers" the so-called "ALIENS".
As the "Golden Rule" says: Do to others what you want others to do to you.

Thanks for your write-up. But understand that Fulani crime rate in Ghana and across West Africa is disproportionately high and not the beautiful picture you want to paint of them. Because of that they are being chased out of every country they hail from or find themselves. Some of their crimes border on pure cruelty to their fellow humans such as deliberate destruction of the livelihoods of poor farmers and killing of farmers who protest the destruction of their crops. In Nigeria where their crimes are more prevalent they go as far as organising themselves into armed groups to invade communities and kill and burn down houses of poor villagers as collective punishment for one or two farmers in the community resisting Fulanis who want to grace their cattle on their crops. In Burkina Faso, as in Nigeria and other parts of West Africa were jihad activities are endemic, the Fulani people are a major supply of militants or Jihadists for terrorism. The Ghanaians in foreign lands you referred to are not known to be in the business of committing crime at rates higher than the citizens of those countries. They are largely there as hustlers who simply want to make ends meet without getting themselves involved with the laws of those countries. It is instructive to note that Ghana is home to many foreigners who do not face discrimination or stereotype of any sort. If the Fulanis are the exception, then it is for the Fulanis to answer why they are the only foreigners who are facing widespread rejection from Ghanaians. Unfortunately, it is Ghanaians who are often called to answer that question by Fulanis and their proponents like you.
