Give us a break.
Why has the Central bank legalized and normalized forex bureaus and who are the faceless owners? It is the politicians, Bankers, Businesses with political clout etc.
In fact the "Abotsi and Gao Gao" community in Tudu and other enclaves trade more dollars and other foreign currency than the entire banks in Ghana combined. Governor, where do they get their supply from?
Control the unbridled importation of every imaginable product flooding our market. We're just consumers feeding the manufacturing base of China and other countries. We can't even feed ourselves. The government of Ghana must criminalize the use of dollar as a legal tender in Ghana . No body should sell or buy in dollars. This must be enforced by our security agencies.
