I disagree there are far too many lawyers in our system who do not add anything to our GDP.Having one Law School is enough if we could ban Ewes /Ayigbes and Northerners from studying Law.They are Confusionists & Litigants.

For my Money this unnecessary. There are too many Lawyers in the country. The country is NEED a of Agricultural Engineers to develop our Vast Agricultural Lands and Agricultural Industries, scientists etc… How many of these qualified Lawyers are in gainful employment that will put Ghana in advanced manufacturing position? Who can tell me what Lawyers in Ghana have done to improve the health care system of Ghana or made Ghana popular since Independence? We know of Footballers , Boxers and Musicians who have ploughed their profession outside the country to plant respectable perception of Ghana ,though we have absolutely no Music Academies, Football academies, boxing academies etc.. Most of the bad or smelly dodgy contracts signed on behalf of our country were Lawyers. How then do we continue to invest heavily in this.? Come on !!!! INVEST IN AGRICULTURE , Engineering or Technology . Wake up!!!! We can’t even manufacture bicycle tires or chains. Cut the size of Lawyers in the country. We don’t really Need More of these group. We expect our governments to protect us from starvation to put ENOUGH FOOD ON OUR DINNER TABLES a and Not LAW BOOKS.

This a good idea but you haven't been paying attention to who is admitted into professional schools in Ghana. Law, medical etc. My suggestion is not to submit this bill until amendments are made. There are some regions without enough doctors and lawyers. These professionals are concentrated in a few regions. I want the bill to contain that admission into the professional schools be divided into 16 regions. And regions to districts. Especially medical schools. After completion these doctors will go to their regions and districts to serve their people so that there won't be a language barrier. We need doctors who can speak the dialects of the people they serve since 80% of the population cannot speak English or another dialect and may require a translator. I HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER THIS SUGGESION. AND LASTLY THE BILL SHPOULD CONTAIN BUILDING UNIVERSITY IN ALL THE REGIONS SO THAT STUDENTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL FROM ONE REGION TO ANOTHER REGION TO ATTEND UNVERSITY UNLESS THEY CHOSE TO.
