That would have automatically avoided floods and breeding of mosquitoes because no fool will throw refuse into them. This is not rocket science now. This is not critical thinking. This is basic thinking.

  I am with you Mr. Smith. My late father used to complain bitterly about gutters not covered because mosquitoes come from uncovered gutters. It's unbelievable that no government has ever thought about this.

  Accra was not designed for squartters ,street dwellers and people who just get up from their villages and head to Accra, not knowing where they are going to live, let alone where to dispose of the rubbish that they generate. So everything inside the gutters. Our politicians have failed us. Because of votes they allow these squatters to do whatever they want . They have brought their uncouth behaviors to the cities and because the systems do not work they get away with their unsightly behaviors. Authorities should stop crying wolf as if they don't know the causes of the flooding in Accra. The Assemblies are not working, I must confess. Thanks
